After three albums between 1997 – 2001 as a member of Six Going On Seven, Joshua English struck out on his own in the time-honoured fashion of the ex-hardcore kid going introspective. Hailing from Oregon, Joshua has made the world his home, touring wherever and whenever he can. The highlight of his recordings is his first solo album Trouble Gone, released by Xtra Mile in 2008 around the time of Frank Turner's Softcore tour, also with Jonah Matranga and Jacob Golden. His lilting vocal twang and blues-fired acoustic playing, he has ploughed a gritty yet soulful depth that had once been left untapped. It seems that, in the future, there's unlikely to be a dam able to prevent this natural flow.
