Originally from Liverpool and now based in Bristol, Hannah Rose Platt is a singer-songwriter with a cinematic eye and a poet’s ear, crafting haunting, imaginative records steeped in melody and myth. Known for her flair for the macabre and her piercing narrative depth, Platt returned in 2025 with Fragile Creatures a concept album more visceral and ambitious than anything she’s done before.    Following her critically praised 2023 release Deathbed Confessions, a gothic collection of ghost stories and melodious murder ballads Fragile Creatures shifts the spotlight to a powerful real-world horror: the systemic mistreatment of women in the name of medicine. 

A richly textured, sonically expansive album produced by long-time collaborator Ed Harcourt and mastered at Abbey Road, Fragile Creatures is a musical reckoning. It anatomizes the centuries-old myths, superstitions, and pseudoscientific beliefs that have shaped; and often warped, the medical experiences of women throughout history.
