Sophie Madeline had already crafted, and self-produced two albums – even mailing out copies to fans in 27 different countries - by the time she arrived on Xtra Mile Recordings. The accomplished second album The Rhythm You Started mixes pure pop melodies with ukulele, violin, synths, drum loops, and electronic beats. What's remarkable is this was all done in her Brighton living room before being mixed. Since then she has supported Super Furry Animals' Gruff Rhys at the legendary New York venue The Mercury Lounge, and continues to work on more glorious indie-pop with which to impress.
